October 2006 - Local TV commercials can be very creative at times. One local spot written for a Laurel/Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Butler Collision Center had a catching line of copy, " When you get in a wreck, don't be a wreck. Kind of cute. Thanks to cousin Florence and Clarence in Stringer, Mississippi I enjoyed that catching scripting.

The radio station's handel is "94.3 The Bridge." WOZZ's format is simple. One of the disc jockeys croons, "We never play over the music...playing four decades of rock an' roll...music variety that's guaranteed." I find this Appleton, Wisconsin station truely refreshing with an excellent playlist always.

From random television viewing I discovered what is purported to be the "World's Largest Truck Stop." Iowa 80 is located just 10 miles west of Davenport on Interstate 80, Exit 284. It's 56,000 square feet of store area and total service area of 156,000 acres of land is staffed by 500 employees, and includes a laundry, barbershop, 50 foot food buffet, chrome truck part shop, museum, dentist and more. When in the Atlanta, Georgia area, get hot classic hits on the radio by tuning to 97.10 on the FM dial. Lynyrd Skynyrd and Chicago are just two of the artists played on this broadcast station named "The River." Enjoy
