TOP JOINT OF 2007

A place I visited in the evening of January 13, 2007. The guy at the right with the tie on is Jon the owner of the "Maritime Bar" in Appleton, Wisconsin, who looked dressed and ready to enter a political race to land in Washington, D.C. I heard he wasn't registered to vote but that won't stop Jon...he'll fit right in with that closet item, when he gets in office.

Although a diligent and brilliant statesman/bartender that night, he hosted this birthday music event for Joe (seen in the left side of the opposite photo.) Joe played for his own 21st birthday party, which he said, "...are dog years." I think he just had a birthday for the free shots and beers. The entire band members of five are listed and paired with the types of instruments each plays from left to right: Joe - slide and lead electric guitar, Dale - leader of "Apple Creek" on acoustic six string guitar and congo drums. (above) Dave - drums, Dennis - electric bass and six string acoustic guitar, Doug - electric guitar and mandolin. This local Appleton, Wisconsin group called "Apple Creek" created the patterned and structred noise of the evening as regular old seasoned musicians entertaining a substantial eclectic fun loving crowd. After the first set, other excellent musicians took there turns playing with the birthday boy Joe, in celebration of his special day. The music they presented was a spattering of a little of just about everything. The guys all had as much or more fun as the audience and there's a lot of willing wedding rings here and around town. I'd also like to thank Mike, the "steelmule guy" here, for snapping these three pictures of the primary people who made the night most enjoyable for all!
